Suplemental solar

Sometimes when camping off grid the roof mounted solar panels just aren't enough. I get anxious watching the battery voltage drop wondering if the daily gains are going to keep up. So far we have done very well with the 136w on the roof but sometimes I wish I had a little more.
I decided to try this folding 80w solar panel by Allpowers.

I also purchased a small charge controller and a 12' cable with a cigarette lighter plug.
It folds up smaller than a big city phone book. I can set it anywhere there is sun, and I just plug it in one of the 12v outlets in the T@B.
Initial impression is that I can double my gains in less than ideal conditions by selective placement of the extra panel.
I consider it similar to carrying a spare tire. It is there in case it is needed but not what I rely on most of the time.
For about $200 I can have greater confidence we will have enough power in marginal solar conditions.

Great. Being able to chase the sunlight can really help your gains.

Nice, looks like a very viable, affordable, supplement to your already pretty cool panel set-up!2016 T@B MAX S-aka: WolfT@B

I have the same unisolar that your have. I carry a spare 68 watt panel (rolled up), and can plug into the system if I feel I need it. The 136 generally work fine so rarely use it.
