Hi all. I didn't see anything on a search (but my searches on this forum often result in no results if more than one search term). I'm interested in a mod that would essentially lengthen the door side of the bed on a temporary basis. Either something that would bridge the space between the bed and the front sofa (in front of the door) or perhaps a removable shelf like mod above the under sofa storage access door. I just need about 8-10" of extra sleeping platform on the one side. Any ideas? Of course, I guess I could use a properly sized cooler or other cube storage box with a section of mattress on top.

You've got lots of options. When DH is along we sleep in the two twin set up. I take the two long and two short side cushions and line them up on the floor by the door so it makes a soft platform for foot overhang. This works for him, needs no extra storage and is simple. Good luck!
