Ok to drill holes in Trailer frame?

I am considering adding  Yakama  wheel mount bike rake in front of the Outback Box.  The easiest install would be to drill 2 holes (5/16) about 6 inches apart in the top of one side of the frame.  Any concerns?  I can bolt around the frame, but it wouldn't be as secure.

I will simply say that as seen on a post here of someone that purchase the outback/boondock front aluminium rack, that the instruction supplied by nu camp mentionned to drill 4 holes in the frame to proceed with the installation.

    now, others will comment.

Generally speaking, the safest place to drill a beam is in the vertical center. Putting holes in the top will theoretically weaken it. Whether it will weaken it enough to be a problem I can't say.

You might float the question to Norco, the frame manufacturer.
