T@B 400 Table Mod

The standard table is a bit large, significantly heavy, and sticks out into the main traffic area enough to be a pain when moving items in/out of the camper.  I took the original table and used it as a template - making it smaller and only 1" thick - very manageable.  To augment the light-colored birch I made this from cherry and only applied lacquer to maintain the look.  Using it this week - much nicer footprint - and a pleasant look.

Great!  I’m not the only one with these thought about the table.  I do need it lighter so I can manage it easier by myself. Got the wood (ask the movers who moved it to the storage garage yesterday), I just need time!

That new table looks great!  I completely got rid of my heavy table because I couldn’t move it at all. Had  a board cut to size and now I have a couch. Love it!
