Just purchases a 2018 Tab CS-S and now looking at 2018 Ford Escape SEL with a 2.0 ecoboost engine with a factory tow package with a towing capacity of 3500 lbs. Would like to hear comments on this choice. We live in the mountains of British Columbia. My second question is about WD or equalizer hitches. Are they necessary pulling a Tab?

I think you meant the Ford Escape Titanium with 2.0 turbo and factory tow. SEL is 1.5 and no tow package.

WD hitch is useful (and often required) for larger trailers and vehicles like pickups and vans where you plan to load a bunch of gear rear of the vehicle's axle. With a Ford Escape or similar SUV your cargo space is limited and close to the axle.
