We are just getting used to our T@B and one thing we want to modify is the ridiculously bright LED porch light. I don't want to permanently disable it, but I'd like to figure out a way to dim it. I know that not all LEDs are dimmable. I also tried to find a dimming switch in the style that the T@Bs use. It appears that there is one that uses up the adjacent slot, but that one is used for the overhead light. What I'd really like is a three position switch that is off, low, or high power--assuming that the LEDs will support the low-power mode.
I guess I may be left with the gaffers tape solution for now.

I'm not sure what year your Tab is, but for ours I was able to find a selection of LED bulbs that would fit into the socket of the original bulb. I could choose the brightness. (I completely agree, it's way too bright!)
See if you can determine the bulb type, and then search online for a replacement.
If you need, I can probably find the supplier that I got ours from.

During that 5% of the time, I will probably REALLY want it to be that bright. For the rest of the time, it really can be much dimmer.
