Hello all, we recently purchased a 2017 T@B CS-S max camper and are excited to take it on our new adventures!
We want to thank everyone on this forum for all of the information that you've shared about these wonderful campers, it helped us a great deal in researching our decision.
We are not new to campers, we previously owned a 35' fifth wheel bunkhouse with two slide-outs, but after selling it we vowed that we would never "go big" again!
There were several options available, but we chose the 2017 T@B CS-S max for the following reasons:
-Cost-effectiveness: affordable used models are available, low tow weight = smaller/cheaper tow vehicle and better gas mileage, small enough to camp in the smallest campground sites (or just about anywhere!)
-No slide-outs: we had bad experiences with occasional rain water, cold drafts, and bugs making their way into our previous camper (which had large living room and m. bdrm slide-outs)
-Fits in our garage: we switched the factory tires & rims to bare 13" rims to lower the height so that it would fit in the 7' high opening of our climate controlled garage (takes additional work to put away and get out, but no need to pay for off-site outdoor storage!)
-Expandable sleeping area: the 2017 CS-S model features a bench seat across the front interior wall of the camper, which can become an extension of the bed by adding a plastic bin with a thick cushion on top
-Cooking outside: we're warm weather campers who don't like to cook inside of RVs (due to accumulating food smells, grease, etc.), and we were already planning to set up an outdoor kitchen - so the clam shell kitchen was an excellent match!
-Core functions indoors: we wanted to have our most often used features (bed, toilet, and shower) inside of an insulated heated/cooled space
-Expandable: the sheltered square footage more than doubles by adding a side tent and a tent for the clam shell kitchen. With these additions, the CS-S camper itself can be used as a bedroom/bathroom, while the side tent can be used as a living/dining room
We hope that by sharing our reasons for buying a T@B, we can help other would-be buyers along the way. We look forward to being part of this community and sharing our experiences as we enjoy our new T@B!
