I have a 2 month old Tab 400. Like it a lot. Have problem with door shutting and locking from new. Though it just had to wear in. After problems at first camp last weekend, found lock reciever assembly very loose. Tracked to screws holding assembly to door frame. Cant get to them. Looks like have to remove part of door frame channel to allow access. Anyone got ideas?

The specific tool you need to reach those screws is called a ratcheting or offset screwdriver.  They are very small and are no larger than the palm of your hand.  A picture of one is in the thread @Sharon_is_SAM provided a link to.  There are several on Amazon for under $10.

Yes, to reach those screws you must remove the screen door, which is fairly simple.  I just did this about a week ago.  The problem is those screws will probably not tighten very much or stay tight.  They are just sheet metal type screws going into the framing and if you try to torque them too much they will strip.  Just add that to the issues everyone is having with the door latch design on the 400s.  There is too much stress on that piece for it to be attached like that.

You do not need to remove the screen door if you use an offset screwdriver.  It's a 90-degree mini ratchet with swapable screwdriver heads.  You'll only get a couple of clicks at a time but it is doable.

@JEB, @grubbster, @Tundra57 here is the response from the warranty department:

”We are advising people to install washers as the shim, they will need 2 5mm x 12mm - 15mm bolts and 4 washers for the adjustment.
They may contact Warranty for parts.”

Send an email with your mailing address, type of T@B 400 (in case they keep track of it) —  warranty@nucamprv.com — and they will send out the necessary parts.
