Some Questions

Hello Fellow Campers.

i am brand new to camping.   I just got back from my first week long trip with my 2018 Tab 400 and have a few questions I’m hoping other owners can help with.

1) when I was dumping at the Sani-station, I hooked the water hose to the black water flush and turned the water on, but there was no water flushing into the tank.   Is there something else I need to do to make this work?

2) the fan in the bathroom worked once.   When I went to use it again it did not work.   I checked the fuse and it was fine.    Anyone else have a problem with the bathroom fan?

3) when I lock the entry door and pull the handle to make sure it locked, the door opens halfway but remains locked.    It seems to me the door should not move at all once it is locked.    Anyone else have this problem?

4) there is a wall switch to the left of the closet door and I can’t figure out what it is for.    Does anyone know?

1, nothing else needed. 2, no issues with our fan. 3, that isn't right, sounds like an adjustment is needed. 4, that switch turns on bed area accent lighting.

2. Sounds like the fan switch may be faulty. On a recent trip with our 400 the bathroom fan broke and the fan would not shut off. I replaced the switch with a toggle switch. 
3. NuCamp has a solution for the door which adjusts the latch and resolves the issue.  I made the adjustment yesterday and the door latches perfectly.

Thanks for the replies...much appreciated.  

Sounds like the black water flush isn’t working.  
I see now that there is a strip of lights in the bed area that isn’t working when the switch is turned on.  
Thanks for putting me onto the previous thread about the door lock.  
Sounds like the fan switch is faulty.   

More items to add to my ever growing list of things that don’t work.

Also, it sounds like the bathroom vent fan is a 400 weak link.  Others have had some issues as well.

Yes.  The fan is very low quality.  The original in my 400 made a terrible racket.  Eventually, it started blowing the fuse every time I tried to turn it on.  I think the blade/motor assembly goes out of alignment over time with torque, causing the blades to contact the vent opening, which puts load on the motor and eventually trips the puny 7.5 amp fuse.  I ended up replacing the fan myself.  It's just as cheaply made and still makes a racket, but at least it works now.
