Good Group 24 deep cycle batteries

Not happy with factory supplied Interstate battery in my 2016 Max-S model with indoor kitchen. I have a 120 watt solar suitcase to keep it topped.  But will not hold charge long enough boon docking. Using propane setting on Norcold fridge plus Alde on propane. Any suggestions under $200 for battery replacement? I think group 27 probably too tough to fit into front storage by simply changing battery case and platform.

My next battery in the fall will be this one:  a group 27 AGM, 100AH.  I may need to just bolt in a different size battery box, since it is about 2 inches longer.  Or, I might figure out another way to put it in the tub, since an AGM can be placed at any angle/position I want.

This is what I got and I'm very happy with it. I have a ZAMP 80w Solar suitcase and all is working as it should. Holds charge boondocking - no problem.

That's a nice battery and pretty reasonable.  You could put two in for less than $400.

I changed to Interstate group 27.  I did have to change and modify the battery box but everything fits just fine.

This is a hard question to answer because how well a battery works for you depends on several factors, not least of which are your own particular power needs and the condition of the battery itself (which in your case appears to be on its third season).

While a different group 24 (or even group 27) battery may offer up a few more amp hours, it may not necessarily provide the solution you are looking for.
