Can anyone explain the function and proper use of the battery breaker(?) shown on the attached photo? One is up (the smaller one) and one is down (the larger one).
The 40 amp circuit breaker functions like a fuse to protect your battery from surges. The longer, red plastic piece will drop down if the breaker trips. I believe the small, red plastic button is a way to test the circuit breaker. It will trip the breaker. To reset it, just close the long, red piece.
Thanks. I didn't know that the tall plastic piece goes DOWN if the breaker trips. I "assumed" that the up position was the tripped position...simple enough. I was looking it's function backwards. Thanks again!
