Clicking noise?

Last night was my first time spending the night in the t@b. Throughout the night I heard a clicking like noise coming from the drivers side of the camper. I had the alde system set to warm the water...Just on AC ....Also had the fridge on set to ac. Anyone else have this happen? Almost sounds like a relay. I did install an inline progressive industries surge protector.

The only clicking sound I ever hear is if the fridge is on propane and the pilot light goes out, the circuit board will sense and try to relight.

The Alde does make a slight click now and then when it clicks on and off2015 T@B 320 S, 2019 Jeep Cherokee

The Alde - True but it's real quick. I guess I'd describe that as "a click" rather than clicking.

Yeah it's just one....Like every so often....

Yup--you are hearing the 12v relays switching the 120v electric elements on and off through the night, maintaining the temperature of the hot water. This all happens within the Alde unit itself.
When you turn on propane instead you'll hear the roar of ignition several times throughout the night, though I've found it not too intrusive.

Agree it's gotta be the Alde if it's spaced out clicks - The fridge is real fast clicking until the flame's going again.

I am still hearing a click on occasion and still cannot figure it out. I camped this weekend and never turned the alde on so I can rule that out. All I had on was the air and the fridge yet again . All I know to do is go sit in the camper with the air off and see if I can feel a relay or hear better but it's been in the 90s so kinda uncomfortable to do that. Anyone else experience this?

If you just installed a Progressive EMS in your camper what your hearing is the contactor inside switching. Were you plugged into shore power at the time? Did the power shut off or anything when you heard the clicking? Also if its coming from the driver side thats where the EMS is probably installed under the bench thats screwed down. I just installed one myself this weekend and heard the click on mine as well, but only when powering up and powering down. If you have a display on the EMS I would suggest checking it while plugged in for an error. If there is no error you will get an E0 on the display as it cycles through the voltage and amps. Let us know what you find.Rolltide82 said:I am still hearing a click on occasion and still cannot figure it out. I camped this weekend and never turned the alde on so I can rule that out. I do have the ems installed. I never lose power however cause I am sure my lights would flicker or air would cut out for a second but I will sit by where I have the display and watch when I do get the chance to trouble shoot. I don't know if this happened before I installed the ems cause I never powered up until after I installed it.

@Rolltide82 I am willing to bet thats the issue. Read this http://www.forestriverforums.com/forums/f218/loud-clicking-noise-from-ems-hw30c-114269.html

If you have no error on the display it may possibly be a faulty unit, so I would contact them once you know this is the source of clicking and there are no errors. -
You may be hearing the trickle of glycol entering the expansion chamber.

I dont have the alde on. I am going to sit in the camper this weekend once it gets cooler and just listen and feel if it is indeed the device as I do have it mounted under the driver's side bench and look at the display. I just know it is a loud pop

I had no error codes and heard the clicking. Drove me nuts. Finally said "I need to open this puppy up, something is wrong". Sure enough, bouncing down the road, the wires were wiggling loose from the screw down holders. I re-installed, this time, with blue loctite on the threads.dhauf said:@Rolltide82 I am willing to bet thats the issue. I just ran across this on U-Tube. might this be similar to what you are experiencing?

This is obviously a European installation, but.... -
@falcon1970, she said it happens when the Alde is off.Sharon / 2017 T@B CSS / 2015 Toyota Sienna Minivan / Westlake, Ohio
