hack to keep door open

i thought i saved directions for modifying a tent peg to slide into the door hinge and hold it open partially to avoid the awning.Cant find it..has anyone seen or tried this?

thank you everyone! My hubby came up w/a 5" pvc length and a 45 degree elbow at each end and a bungee keeping the door snug against it. Diameter is 1 1/4" & not glued together. We put a bit of pool noodle over the top of the door.I will try to get a photo posted.

Be careful of the tent peg hack. It takes very little force on the door to severely damage the door and or the door frame. A strong gust of wind or simply forgetting to remove the peg could ruin your whole day.

I was just thinking a Bungy cord. Think the tent peg hack could cause major damage/strain.

I just tied a fixed loop in the forward guy line (that runs from the visor rim to the lower keder rail) and loop it over the inside door handle (with the door open) — It’s in a perfect place and gives enough nothing will break or bend.
