Have started my first Snow Bird adventure - - - just enjoyed a Sunny day with 65F temps and I'm a long way from the State of AZ.
Folks back home reporting Rain or light Snow.
Folks back home reporting Rain or light Snow.While baking stove top bread (320S) the smoke Detector sounded & SOUNDED after only 3.5 minutes at Dutch Oven High Burner while the recipe says 5 minutes. Fresh air (breath) helped to quiet it.
Bread is done now, a bit darker - - no black - - on the bottom. Maybe I should have turned the heat down 'for the baking phase' based on the Smoke Detector

@MuttonChops
We are at T@Bazona till Sunday. Then to Riverside CA for a couple of weeks. Then to Oceanside State Park for a week. Enjoy AZ. Checkout Lake Roosevelt National Monument. One of my favorites. Really there are to many to list in AZ.- Hash T@B Fun

Discovered something during my most recent 2-night camping adventure,
Remember initial post - - -Well, my cooking memory isn't so great. Re-Read the recipe. It says 2 minutes on High Burner not 5.MuttonChops said:. . . baking stove top bread (320S) the smoke Detector sounded & SOUNDED after only 3.5 minutes at Dutch Oven High Burner while the recipe says 5 minutes.
Baked my loaf of bread without any smoke Detector music.

Make 'loaf' as one large biscuit. Always a treat with a pot of soup meal.'18 320 S, pitched axle, 3020HE; PNW basedTV: '17 Colorado V6 Z71 4x4, Tow Package, GM Brake Controller

Thanks for that recipe. Someday I want to bake my sourdough in a can while we camp. I had to finish it off on a grill once during a power outage, so it may work!Sharon / 2017 T@B CSS / 2015 Toyota Sienna Minivan / Westlake, Ohio
