went to drain my low point drains-there are four in the cubby-1 red 1 black near door-1 red 1 black farther back-red had warm water and so did the black-how do i turn my water heater off?? i've turned my alde heater on at 60 degrees-supposed to get down to 33 tonight so was going to drain my lines also opened the water holding tank to drain and it has a bunch of water in it!! it was supposedly empty when i picked it up at the dealer and i have never put any water in it-i've been to some state parks that all had water hook-ups-i just left it to drain and went to work. If i turn the hot water bypass valve will that keep water in the hot water tank? i don't want it to be empty if the Hot water is on and why is the water from the other lines feeling warm also??-I live in southern Louisiana and this early cold snap has thrown me for a loop-i didn't think it would get this cold so early-it doesn't usually-I don't think anything will happen with just a few hours of 33-34 degrees but wanted to be safe

What Tab and year do you have?Sharon / 2017 T@B CSS / 2015 Toyota Sienna Minivan / Westlake, Ohio

it is actually a 2019-bought straight off the assembly line in July this year
-
i have ascertained that it is ok to leave the hot water tank empty while still having the alde heat going from some other posts here so that answers that question

it is a t@b 400

where is the hot water tank drain?? to empty it

The valve is under the bed next to the closet. Mine has a yellow handle, it also doubles as a pressure relief valve so flipped to either side it is closed. Open when the handle is straight up.BigGrover

so I would want it closed to run the hot water-flip up to drain

@kaylevine1, the yellow flapper valve functions as both the Alde hot water tank drain valve and a Safety pressure relief valve. To use your plumbing system, make sure all your drain valves are closed. To fill your Alde water tank, you can hook up to the city connection and open a hot water tap - let it run until it stops sputtering and the tank will then be full. To fill the Alde water tank using your fresh water tank, turn on your water pump, then open a hot water tap and wait until it stops sputtering. Hope this helps.Sharon / 2017 T@B CSS / 2015 Toyota Sienna Minivan / Westlake, Ohio

My experience with draining water tanks on previous rigs, has been to open a valve that is directly connected to the bottom of the water tank. Does the 400 have such a drain valve ?400 - 2019

@RCB I believe it does, there is a fresh water drain behind the driver side wheel, unsure if it is direct to fresh water tank, but I believe it is.2019 T@B 400 Boondock Lite

Just to close my inquiry....I found the water tank drain, clearly labelled and just aft to the driver side wheel. Duh..... T@B 400 - 2019400 - 2019

Be aware that not ALL of the water will drain from the fresh water tank when the trailer is level. If you are serious about getting all of the water out (as when you are sanitizing the system with bleach) you need to raise the passenger side a few inches. Either run that side up on leveling blocks or jack that side up as though you were about to pull the wheel. About two inches is sufficient.
