Or, a drill powered version that @Dalehelman installed on my T@B 400 which I thank him for every time I raise or lower the tongue!

Thanks for the quick response😊. I’m seriously thinking about having one installed now.

This conversion cost less than a buck. Conventional power tongue jacks draw considerable amps from your trailers battery where the drill mod does not. Just something to.consider.Verna said:Or, a drill powered version that @Dalehelman installed on my T@B 400 which I thank him for every time I raise or lower the tongue!

@Dalehelman Are you still making the bolts for this mod available, or are we on our own? I’d love to do it, but no vice or drill press makes it hard to drill a hole correctly in a bolt.2019 320s BD Lite, white with blue (“Haven”)

@Dalehelman I would be interested in one of these as well if you are making them.2023 F-150 Powerboost hybrid

My power jack uses much less than you might expect. Because the tongue weight on a T@B is so light, the current load is 5 amps or less. Given a single operation time of about 1 minute, that works out to about 0.1 AH per operation (less when dropping the tongue because the load is less). The drill still needs to be recharged and that power has to come from somewhere. With my 200 watt solar or if you have campground power, power jack use is not even a concern.Dalehelman said:

Dale's drill mod for the tongue jack is brilliant. Also, the drill can be used for the stabilizers and BAL leveler. I get a grin on my face every time I use Dale's drill mod. Simple, cheap and highly effective.2016 Outback 320

We have a Forest River R-Pod 179. After our last trip, I decided that the manual jack had really gotten old. I looked at a lot of different models, and chose this Quick Products electric tongue jack. Installation was relatively easy. I was pleased to see a circuit breaker was included. The only thing lacking for the installation was some wire connectors and a circular terminal for connecting to the battery. Once installed and connected, I tested it, and it worked perfectly. It is both powerful enough and fast. It was just as easy to use and does allow for adjusting for sloping ground.

I should also mention that this electric tongue jack bubble-style leveling cap is another delightful feature for a potential buyer. You see its inclusion makes sure you won’t have any issues ensuring your rig is perfectly level every time you intend on hooking it onto your tow vehicle.
