I suppose it is possible that they did not cut the groove wide enough to allow it to drop all the way - especially since you are having problems with both the inside and outside mounts. I would see if you can get a replacement pedestal. You can try lubricating it with a silicone spray.Sharon / 2017 T@B CSS / 2015 Toyota Sienna Minivan / Westlake, Ohio

Maybe a dry silicone spray or a powdered graphite lubricant like they recommend for the windows (or was it the screen door track?).-Brian in Chester, Virginia

I tried graphite (because I happened to have some). A little improvement, but still sticky. I’ll try the silicone spray next. Thanks for the suggestions!Laura2017 T@B 320 S / 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee

I believe 3M, WD40, and 3-In-One all make a dry lube type of silicone spray. 3-In-One labels one as an RV window track lubricant. Search on "silicone dry lube".-Brian in Chester, Virginia

There are numerous threads about lagun table woes.
How many folks have "overtightened" the handle and found it so seized you could not back it off with tools, had to saw through the bolt and replace handle, as I am doing?
It must not be uncommon!Interestingly, the Panther RV product description reads:
Lagun 06334 OEM Replacement Table Leg Handle
This is an OEM Replacement Plastic Handle in the event that your original handle becomes over-tightened and stuck in a locked position. It is designed to compress the table leg or arm, which features a channel, allowing it to tighten around the inserted bracket or leg. This secure compression ensures the table remains stable and does not move.

The Lagun USA product description reads:Handle Replacement Instructions:
- Use a rag to protect the arm/leg & secure in a vice or similar device.
- Using a hacksaw or a similar tool, use slow even strokes to cut the handle or bolt
- Tap out the old bolt
- Remove end caps (if applicable)
- Install a wooden block inside the end of the leg/arm. Make sure the block is relatively tight, so the aluminum does not get compressed. The block should be right next to the hole the bolt is going to be re-inserted into.
- This MUST be done so you do not cause the aluminum to become distorted, thereby ruining the function of the leg/arm.
- Install new bolt, washer and handle
- Loctite anti-seize for stainless steel may be applied
- Remove wooden block
- Install end caps (if applicable)

$33. Or buy the entire arm with two handles for $73.
==========
I purchased and returned 'normal' M8x1.25 thread carriage bolts and have to buy this expensive part instead.
. The carriage bolts Lagun uses have a much larger square boss under the head than appears normal. The square recess in the aluminum arm is creatively but poorly 'machined' by Lagun by drilling four holes rather than using a broaching tool. For some this will lead to stripping out the bolt head.
All in all this is a disappointing product. The threads appear to have galled and cannot be backed off. The force needed instead spins the brass threaded insert around which the plastic handle is molded.

That's a new to me failure issue.
I've only had to deal with the plastic bushing wear.

In this thread there is a picture and description of an owner who simply replaced these "ratchets" with simple bolts and wing nuts.
