Harvest Hosts FAQ

We are considering joining Harvest Hosts before July 31 since you can get a 15% discount. The seem to indicate most of their hosts do not have power hookups, but for those who use Harvest Hosts...do you find many that do have the power hookups? I'm sure we will join either way, but just curious.

We had 110 power at one site, we do not go expecting any hook ups.2017 T@B Outback white w black trim / 2019 Subaru Ascent White with black trim / Birch Bay WA.

We have enjoyed staying at several Harvest Hosts. There were two rare instances of a host which provided 30 amp hookup for $7 at an amazing winery in Iowa and an Alpaca farm in Maine had 20 amp available but we passed on the electricity as our factory solar took care of our needs. The rest of our HH stays did not have any hookups which seems to be the normal. We have found the flexibility of HH locations to be very advantageous when traveling.2018 T@b 400, 200ah Lithium with Solar

Virtually none of the locations in Washington offer any sort of hookups. I think it’s extremely uncommon among the kinds of places they work with.2019 320s BD Lite, white with blue (“Haven”)

We found one in PA that offered (limited # of spaces) full hookups. It was based on how many seasonal workers they had on staff. Most of the seasonal workers lived in their own RV and the winery provided full hook ups while they were there. If a space was empty it could be for a HH member to use for a cost.2018 T@B 320-S / 2007 Toyota Tundra

read the rules/etiquette guide on the harvest host website. We have bailed on one HH overnight as it was simply too hot and running a generator would be bad form. found a reasonably close campground with a spot.
We have really enjoyed our stays and will continue to stay when it is available. All of the host have been happy to see us and more than accommodating during our over night.
Of course you are expected to patronize their establishment in exchange. So far no ugly surprises in the bad food wine or beer department. It could happen.
