Fuse Question - Clueless Newbie!

Hi T@bbers! I purchased a used 2005 T@b T16 in June.  It is in pretty good shape and is my first venture outside of the tent camping world.  I am trying to learn everything I can and all the forums have been extremely helpful.  I am trying to be proactive and update some items and have suddenly hit a roadblock.  After reading the forums and peeps referencing the ‘fuse’ near the battery, I investigated.  I found this:

Although the Yahoo DM files ref a 20A fuse I see this is a 30A. Possibly due to an updated converter (Progressive Dynamics PD4135K).

I ordered replacement and it came but the marking indicate 30A but 24V.

Knowing the components in the T@b are 12V, yet knowing NOTHING about electricity, can this be used or must I order 30A 12V? Thanks in advance....and I should ask as well if this is acceptable which ends goes to which lead? Battery lead or converter lead?

I think the 24V is just a maximum rating for the fuse. I also can't see any reason why you would need to hook it up in one direction vs. another. Replace and camp on!  :-)

I may be wrong but it looks like an auto reset circuit breaker. Which is a good thing. If it trips it automatically reset and does not need replacing.
