Some folks make wings for the sides. Let me find the video where the lady explained how she made them for her T@G.

It’s a group you have to join on Facebook. If you use the search bar and type wings, her name is Meme and the post is from July 30, 2017. She covers materials and everything.

You can try an aluminum camp stove windscreen - may require 2 to circle the entire stovetop grill. Some people with clamshells make sides that extend from the hatch to reduce the wind. You can put up a canopy over the hatch and add sidewalls, too.Sharon / 2017 T@B CSS / 2015 Toyota Sienna Minivan / Westlake, Ohio

On a previous trip, I fashioned my own wind screen for the burner out of aluminum foil.SAM said:You can try an aluminum camp stove windscreen - may require 2 to circle the entire stovetop grill. @Papa
This was our solution especially when we did not have the 10x10 canopy and sidewalls set up. It's inexpensive, folds flat and requires little storage, and worked reasonably well:

How do you bend aluminum? I also am considering cutting the bottom out of a disposable aluminum baking pan.

Very similarly to how you would bend steel. With many grades, cracking is not a problem unless you are trying to do a sharp bend. You can see in the picture above, that the bend radius is large, relative to the thickness of the aluminum.SAM said:How do you bend aluminum? Inspired by the "cabinets and galley mods" thread on the T@G forum, I came up with this:

I used some one inch strips of aluminum flashing. Where they overlap I pop riveted them together leaving a long free end on the inside. Bending them around two of the legs of the grate adjusts the fit and keeps it in place.Totally untested but I think it looks promising. Nothing but some leftovers and time invested. The best solution I have found up to this point is a segmented folding wind guard made for use around small camp stoves. There is not really a stable place to set it on that little stovetop where it is not easily knocked over but it has helped.
I'm hoping the new one just eliminates the need for this or anything else.

I just made one of these today, very easy bending the 1/8" X 1 1/2" X 48" aluminum bar from Home Depot with a bench vice! I didn't bother with a fastener as the bar seems to spring closed by itself.

I built one like Dundons, only difference we pop riveted two ends together.
Mary Kay, the cook, says flame has not blown out since adding this device.
However device has not been up against hurricane force winds yet...
