    A turkey baster would work.

    +1 for the turkey baster. Been there done that.
    Can be a little messy, so use rags around it.

    you can remove the plug under the trailer and reapply after draining some off.

    Probably no damage will result, but it might slop out and or go out the overflow tube.

    I agree with @N7SHG_Ham. The system is not under pressure so the only concern with overfilling would be an increased risk of spillage. Even at the proper level, that tends to happen when you go bumping down the road.

    My glycol tank level goes up when it gets hot.  Normal.  So if overfilled sufficiently, then run for a while, some could leak and some could go out overflow tube.

    When you say "by about an inch" do you mean an inch over the proper fill level (about 1/2' above the min mark) or an inch above the max mark?  The glycol will expand (and you will see some turbulence in the top of the tank) when it heats up.  If you have not left enough room for that expansion the excess glycol will leave the system through the overflow tube.  Eventually you will end up with the proper glycol level--and a mess under the trailer maybe.

    Turkey baster worked for me when I did the same thing.
