Adding shelves to 400 kitchen cabinet

I'm thinking of adding one or two shelves to the cabinets above the kitchen counter in our 400.

I was looking at some pin type shelf holders that we have in our house and was thinking this would be a simple and adjustable method of adding cabinets - is this a stupid idea in a RV though? Would they bounce around while driving?

Any other simple adjustable methods that would work in a RV?

They would stay out if you drill a slightly undersize hole to get a tight fit in the pins. Then notch the shelf bottom to sit on the pins, so the shelf stays put too.

You should have no problem at all.  I have been using wire shelves from Lowes that just sit on the bottom of the cabinet and they haven't moved at all.

I thought those wire shelves usually snapped in though.

@Michael49, I have used these expandable shelves in my 400 above the sink since I took delivery almost 2 years ago. It stretches across both cabinets giving me plenty of room for everything.

This is the wire shelf I am using.  There are about a gazillion styles, shapes, and brands.  Everybody seems to carry them in one form or another.

I think I like your shelves better than mine.

@falcon1970, I’ve used the white ones before and they dump their contents too frequently. These others are flat footed and they stay in place. It was a great find.

We also used the wire rack approach as shown by @falcon1970.  Works great for us in that upper cabinet. To hold plates, bowls, tumblers and coffee mugs.
