Connecting Awning to T@B 400 rail

We're thinking about a DIY awning for our T@B 400. Or the ability to connect some decorative lighting to the exterior. Can anyone w/ an after market awning provide a hint on how awnings attach to the curved "rail" that goes around the perimeter on the door side of the T@B? Would like to find some type of hardware that allowed for connecting to the rail. Thanks!

The awnings attach with "keder cord" sewn into the edge of the fabric. I used 8.5mm (5/16") to fabricate a screen skirt and it seems to fit fine.

I've also heard of clip thingys that are designed to slide into the rail--the discussions Sharon mentioned above might offer some specifics.

Worst case, you could probably fashion something that would meet your needs. On my T@B the keder rail opening is 1/4" and the inside of the track is 3/8" or 7/16" at most (it's a little hard to get the calipers in there for an exact measure.

I ordered Keder Awning Rope White 5/16" from sailrite.com. It's ordered by the foot. Sewed it to a square sunshade purchased from Costco. Have to use poles to support the opposite side from the T@B. Worked great on recent trip to Florida.
