2021 Air Conditioning Model / Specs in TaB 320 S Boondock

i am looking for the make/model and specs for the 2021 TaB 320 S Boondock  A/C.
My delivery will be in Sept, I am planning on buying a low cost genset that will do the job initially until I am able to know my Tab and get hands on with solar.

    The 320s have the Air8 starting with the 2020 model year.  I believe it is a 6000 BTU unit in the 320.

    yes, but wasn't there an issue with the 2020 Tab 320, being placed below deck and not doing the job, and something else?
    that was the main reason I i didn't shop a used 2020, this is the first new any vehicle i have bought since 1970 MuttonChops said:

    The Elwell Air8 instruction manual is somewhat sparse.  However, some technical data is noted: 

    Nominal cooling capacity 8000 BTU
    Power consumption 1000W
    Starting current 15 A (<1sec)
    Operating current 9A
    Air flow 220 CFM
    Refrigerant R410A
    Max tilt of unit in operation 5 degrees

    Air8 draws about twice as much power as earlier model year window mount 5,000 BTU units.

    you guys probably have this info, but here is what I was thinking about on my first reply to you. I thought that I read some talk earlier about the factory going back to something called the coolcat for 2021, my dealer was suppose to find out but he is away this week.
    It is no big deal, I suppose that I could call Nucamp, but I don't have that number. like i said, just wondering and i asked. thanks again

    Member CBusguy was the first forum member to have a 2020 320 S and he seemed to have no problems with the Air8. There was a discussion about the grill plate that covered the vent under the TaB.  It was plastic and it was replaced with hardware cloth.  Another owner had his dealer create a scoop to deflect and separate the hot vented air from the fresh air intake.  That was not a factory repair.  Recently a member with a 2021 S reported an error code and a factory fix came out:  https://tab-rv.vanillacommunity.com/discussion/10860/2021-tab-320-boondock-air8-e7-error-code#latest

    we have a 2020 320 boondock lite.      we have been out in it 21 nights so far.

    No issues with condensation, bugs or dust, yet.   The condensation is probably resolved by the air intakes for the ac at floor level.   The 320 intake and exhaust are separated by a frame rail as suggested by Elwell and the louvers directing the air just fine.   we have never experienced any error with the unit.    

    I elected to not modify my intake or exhaust per the recall.   I prefer to have the louvers offer a bit of additional protection from splash during travel...   If I ever start to wonder I bought magnetic vent covers and intend to use those.

    The Air Force Guy, Beckley's Camping Center, did an Air8 introduction video back in July 2019.  He states he spoke with Ewell support.

    Video has out-of-date specification information.
    Still worth viewing for basic operation over view.

    So it is 8,000 BTUs!  Sorry - guess I am surprised because the window unit A/C is only about 6,000.

    Sorry, but the official tests show the T@B 320 Air8 is truly between 6,000 to 6,500 btu’s. 

    The initial documentation was incorrect.

    6000 in the owners manual, you were right. Attempted  to put in the second attached pic, but I tried to re-size photo; it looks like you may have to open it up ? Still learning here
