Alde heat while winterized?????

    Thanks for the corroborating info--I agree there must be a typo or some other oversight in the Alde FAQ.

    In addition to the heaters, the Alde circulator pump also switches to 120V operation when it is available. The converter will also need to operate to provide 12V to the Alde electronics. While these demands will be minimal compared to the heaters themselves, they will further increase the Alde's total power consumption by some amount.

    I just fired my winterized Alde up today in sub freezing temps on electric at my storage lot. My indicated current on the EMS display is 16a which is about right for 1800w on 120v. (Theoretical 15a, but other systems in tab could of been taking a bit and/or instrumentation error could account for the other amp) It would be right at edge of normal home outlet if nothing else is on in camper on on the circuit in the house. At home I would not run it above the 900w setting.
