    Camp Futon self inflating 3” mattress from LL Bean, either in a single or a double size. I have put a twin size fitted sheet on the Camp Futon with a top sheet and down alternative blanket on top. Or, I have a sleeping bag with straps to put around the Camp Futon, and the sleeping bag stays on top of the Camp Futon. 

    At 5’4”, you could sleep wheel to wheel which is more comfortable to me.

    We use a thick mattress pad.  Light weight, rolls up easily.  Do you have the bed made up as a single?
