I am going to buy another CS and wanting a boondock package for it if it does not have one,
I am looking for more ground clearance so I can go deeper into the woods besides the state park. I am retired Navy and want to be alone in the woods and up into the mountains.
So how do you get bigger tires (31") on it and have a little more clearance. Just don't want to tear the undercarriage out from under it my first time going to a camp along a river.
Thanks

The tires that are paired with the pitched 'Boondock' axle from the factory are 235/75R15. They are a little less than 29" diameter (spec. sheet says 28.88") . I don't know that you'd have enough clearance to install a 31" tire @Submariner. These stock tires are a pretty tight fit.
Hope this helps your quest...

Don't think you will ever see "really big" tires on the trailer...but, who knows? There are some trailer dealers who sell only trailers modified with the boondock axle. Some owners have modified the trailer with the "pitched" axle. This one is on a 400.And here are threads on the question of adding the axle to the 320. "More ground clearance" for the boondock is not very dramatic: 3 inches is the usual number batted around.Lived in Charleston SC when my dad was stationed there back in the 60's. @Submariner, to convert a standard CS to a boondock model, you have to install the pitched axle, tires, the boondock front tub (which may now be the same) and the front storage platform. If reasonably mechanically inclined, with the proper tools, you can install the pitched axle and the front tub and platform yourself. There is at least one thread here from a member who did just that and saved quite a bit of cash. However, if you are vertically challenged, be aware that the galley will now be as many inches taller as you gain from the pitched axle and larger tires.2017 t@b sofitel(Dr@gonsFly)TV 2015 Silverado 2500hd(Behemoth). Yes, you can order the higher Outback/BoonDock pitched axle and larger wheel from nüCamp through a dealer. This kit will raise the trailer about 3-inches, so the galley counter in the rear will be 3-inches higher also. With the Boondock Pitch axle, you just have room for the factory are 235/75R15 wheels/tires supplied with the Boondock package. This will only work on TaBs made under the Little Guy and nüCamp model names. The earlier TaBs have a different frame, and the current Dexter axles will not fit.

You won’t be able to get 31’s on without cutting the fender flair. When removing and replacing my wheels on my 2018 Boondock for bearing maintenance i had to slightly pry open the flare to get wheel in.2022 TAB 400 Boondock, 2019 Toyota Tacoma Sport 4x4

Thanks for the info. I got a lead on 2014 cs but not a boondock. so I will have to make some modifacations on it.

Submariner, the Boondock was first released on 2019 model year, prior to that, the higher lifted TaB was called an Outback, and looks like it was released in 2015/2016 model year. You would have to contact nüCamp Customer Service to see if the current Boondock axle would fit on a 2014 TaB.

The tire clearance is more then just the wheel flare, but the wheel tub as well. I would need to check, but the side to side clearance of the wheel & tire needs to be considered as well as the height...FYITV- '16 Chevy Colorado LT Crew Cab-DuraMax

As I previously mentioned, a 235/75R15 is about the largest tire/wheel size you are going to get in the wheel well and still have the needled clearance between the tyre and wheel well. You need room for the suspension to move up,and down, which is the reason for adding a higher pitch axles setup. @4ncar, good point about the side clearance.
