400 under bed access mod

This is a pretty simple mod. We have a six inch memory foam mattress. It makes sleeping very comfortable but makes accessing the storage under the bed more difficult. This mod allows me to lift the top to access the storage for loading and unloading. The factory strut wasn't strong enough to do so. 

The wood pieces have velcro to hold them in place when not in use.

    Thanks for the great idea, @TRob! We just completed this modification and added a cross bar at the bottom so that both of the arms would stay together. If anyone else tries this, don't put the crossbar in the middle like we originally did or you won't be able to access your things very easily.  :)
