Hooking up to city water! What's the proper order?

We're finally staying at a campsite that has water. And it's our first time out this season. I'm staring at the spigot and then at the Nautilus panel. I know the panel levers are set to City Water. And I know I use the City Connection with the pressure valve regulator. But here's my, as we say in Iowa, brain fart. Does the water filter connect to the spigot or pressure the regulator?
Also, I don't want to bypass the Alde, correct?

I'd put the regulator on the spigot, then the water filter, then the hose, the the camper.

That is what I do also, to keep the extra weight and strain off the trailer city water connection. But either way works, you can even split the water filter on one side, and pressure regulator on the other side. It is your preference and choice.

Thank you both! Makes perfect sense. Appreciate your expertise!2021 320 S BoondockSubaru Outback XT and Honda PassportDes Moines, IOWA!

@andyboy, if you have already flushed and sanitized your plumbing, go ahead and move the Alde valve to normal. Campsite spigots can sometimes be a challenge if too close to the ground. Having said that, I always read that you want to keep your hose clean by placing the filter at the spigot.Sharon / 2017 T@B CSS / 2015 Toyota Sienna Minivan / Westlake, Ohio

Thanks! Will do all that!
Can’t imagine not having a pressure regulator, especially here. So much pressure! I’m sure it could do some damage.2021 320 S BoondockSubaru Outback XT and Honda PassportDes Moines, IOWA!
