T@b Task Day

I took today off to get a few things around the house and T@b done. Too bad it feels like a tropical rain forest today.

I finally added a battery cut off switch and mounted my fishing rod-flag pole holder (thanks, @dalehelman !) My flagpole arrived but I realized I also need a new flag. Hoping it dries off and I can get to my caulking work.

I could not fully extend it due to overhead wires and tree branches. I used pipe insulation foam to snug the flagpole in the rod holder. The last picture is a close up of my wireless antenna (Ubiquiti Nanostation M2. I have one more piece to the puzzle arriving tomorrow and a new flag on Wednesday. I think I could probably rig a plate for the cell phone booster but not sure I will do that right away. The WiFi antenna is mounted to the pole with a mounting plate.

Yes, I used a 2 5/8" hole saw to cut the hole in the battery box cover moved the wire from the battery to the switch, added a tray cable from the switch to the battery, tested, and that was it.

Yeah, I used silicone, but might next to use gorilla glue, too. There is not a lot of surface area o. That switch to add the adhesive.

Thanks. I used screws, but I'm nervous about the tips of them coming into contact with something electrical....

Jenn, Gorilla Glue is great, but it's a little 'brittle' for flexible substrates. You might want to use a kind of construction adhesive for plastics. Dunno what tho... B-) I have this polybutylene stuff that sticks like mad, and stays rubbery/flexible, but you gotta buy a whole caulk-size tube.

Adhesive silicone chalk would work great for that. Keep in mind that you will have to cut it off if you ever want it off.

I got a little sloppy with my wrench when I was tightening down the nut on the battery. It woke me up, for sure!

A heavy duty battery cable, like this one. I should add that I ran the switch to the negative side of the battery.
