Easy Peasy Carpet Tiles

I just put carpet tiles in our T@B in about an hour using only a pair of scissors and a ruler.  No glue is required because they are taped together from underneath with highly adhesive pads (that are included with the tiles).  The whole carpet can be removed as one piece, or individual pieces can be replaced as needed.  I can't wait for our new warm floor on chilly mornings.

@badnuts I really like that, and so simple! Do you have a link to the specific brand you used? Thanks for sharing!

I love FLOR carpet tiles and have used them in our home as well, but these were just inexpensive tiles from Menards.  U-Tile™ Modular Paver Brown 19 x 19 Commercial Carpet Tile (21.53 sq.ft/ctn)  Model Number: 4002750067 Menards ® SKU: 7656000.  One box is more than enough for our T@B.

Very nice! Yours looks nucer than mine. I use those indoor/outdoor door mats from costco. Both are great for protecting the floor.

@badnuts, this looks great!  Are they adhered to the original flooring?  If you removed them, would there be a glue residue?

@1LilTabbie On the link provided from Menard's above, they have an installation video. The tiles are attached together with little "stickers' that overlap at each corner of the tiles.  The tiles hold together as a group, and the "rubbery" texture on the back grips the floor. There is no "glue" that connects them to the floor.

I used them to make an runner for an L-shaped hallway. They're awesome.

Update:  We tested out the new carpet flooring on our first camping trip of the year and I was pleased to find that I could keep the carpet 'swept' nicely with a hand-held whisk broom.

I'm planning to do this; our linoleum has a stain from the previous owner. Did you take up the linoleum first? After reading about soft floor issues, I'd love to see the condition of the plywood under our flooring.

What is under your Lino floor, depends on which year TaB you have.  Not all TaBs have plywood in their floor or under floor areas, nüCamp used a composite floor which did not have wood, and was not prone to water damage (rot) creating soft spots.  The linoleum is glued down, so removing it is not easy.
