camp cot/bunk bed modification

I have been thinking about something like pictured here, from another trailer manufacturer (Bean Trailers). I have written them and awaiting a response, but wondering if anyone in the Tab community has modified a similar cot/bunk for their Tab. See Childrens Bunk in the list of options on this website.

    There was this thread a few years back.  (2014!).  There is a link to Facebook threads on "bunk beds" in the Tab Group there, but a quick look showed basically the same sort of idea, and not much detail.  This thread has pictures and descriptions, etc.

    Yes, thanks. I had seen that thread, similar concept but a little different in terms of execution. Looking forward to additional feedback.

    That Bean design is brilliant!  It seems it could be easily adapted to a T@B.  Nice find.  Good luck finding what works for you.

    Also, Taxa Outdoors has a pipe cot berth for children, see 12:20 on the “Video Walk Around” on the Cricket model: https://taxaoutdoors.com/habitats/cricket/

    Quick update, I heard back from someone at Bean trailers (great response time for a generic inquiry on a weekend), and they said the system is their own in-house. So any off the shelf version will be subject to trial and error, or buy the Bean version if it fits.

    You need something solid in the trailer sides to attach the pipe berth brackets to.   Adding this to a TaB would require some type of support board that spans the aluminum frame members in the TaB side walls.
