Outdoor Shower Disconnect, Hose Removal

This is a very simple, no big deal, modification that really cleans up the Adle Compartment.

Being a member of I never use the Outdoor Shower Club the extra mess those shower hoses cause in the Adle Compartment has bugged me since day one.

So today I disconnected the water hoses and removed the shower head assembly/hose.  Just needed a hand full of 1/2 inch FIP (standard pipe) caps.  While removing these never used hoses I also cleaned up how the Adle 120VAC power cord is 'stored'.
Project left the original shower hardware in place and I will keep the hoses on chance the T@B is ever sold so next owner could reconnect.  With that option in mind decided to cap off the shower fitting to keep them clean.

Note:
I did search for a similar thread/posting.  Only found 'how to install' or 'how to fix' threads

Great idea, but it’s so easy to give the dogs a bath outside. I’ll keep mine, but I do have a new hose I want to install.

Another option is to replace the stiff white hose with a more flexible Camco hose.  Would be more manageable in the compartment, though not is clean as no hose.  Makes it much more pleasant to use the shower.

@Horigan 2x your option. We replaced out hose with 2 Camco hoses with a quick connect between them and used the outdoor shower exclusively over an extended outing and it worked wonderfully. Also replaced our shower head with a Niagara Conservation shower head, 2.0 gpm. For ease we also installed a shower head shut-off valve.
The quick connect between the two hoses makes for an quick extension and eliminates the need to store both hoses in the compartment.

Nice job! I’ve never liked that stiff hose sliding in and out around all the critical systems located under the seat.

Much better @MuttonChops!  Now you can access your valves.

I might also cut the extra long electrical wire going to the Alde and install a new electrical plug to get rid of that snakes' nest. Art

Sorry, I can not help on that one.  My plumbing knowledge is very limited . . . . . .

We use the outdoor shower outlet with a 12’ stainless shower hose to supply our outdoor double sink with hot and cold water when we don’t have hook ups.
