Moisture Mitigation During Storage in Area of High Humidity

I posted this here because I couldn’t find an exact Category… Well I’ve tried to read everything I could find posted here dealing with moisture problems when storing our T@B 400 in high humidity… Since we have owned our T@B we have lived in Colorado where humidity is not an issue. However, we just bought a home in southern Indiana and will be moving there in a couple of months. The humidity there is brutal, dew point during the summer months seems to be in the high 60’s or low 70’s. Relative Humidity is always in the 80’s… We had a real problem even finding a place to store our camper when not in use. Finally found a storage lot not far from our new house in Columbus, IN. It is an open lot not covered with no shore power. We cannot park the camper at our home because the neighborhood covenants will not allow… We are very concerned about moisture accumulation and resulting mold and mildew… I am sure we are not the only ones that have faced this problem.. Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated…

Amazon is your friend! There are some non-electric, non-battery powered dehumidifiers.Damp Rid is the one most easily found at Walmart, Kroger’s, and hardware stores.
Here’s one from Amazon:

I’m still looking for my favorite and I’ll post it here when I find it.My favorite that lasts for years. You can renew it by heating it in your home oven:

I was really hesitant to post this but here goes...How about kitty litter...preferable new, and you can heat it up to drive out accumulated moisture and reuse.DaveR middleTN - 2015 320S / TV 2003 Tundra 4x4

If possible always keep the roof vent cracked. I keep ours open year round (with a Maxx Air cover) and only close it when we have the AC running.

I just ordered a couple of these:

Pretty highly rated on Amazon. I’m planing on putting one in the sink with the sink lid open, and one in the shower with the door open… I will crack the roof vent, and open all of the cabinet doors… I’ll let you all know how this works.. -
Dollar Tree has their own brand of Damp Rid. I put one on the floor of the 320 sitting inside of a plastic shoe box bottom just in case the container leaks or overflows. You can buy it on line from Dollartree.com if you don't have a store nearby. I've seen people buying cases of it at the stores.2006 RAM 1500 4 door, 2016 T@B 320 MAX S

And that would have come in handy the time we found an abandoned kitten who camped with us for a night!fstop32 said:I was really hesitant to post this but here goes...How about kitty litter...preferable new, and you can heat it up to drive out accumulated moisture and reuse.

I Tried one of these hung from the upper cabinet handle in our 2019 T@B 400 while it was stored for a few days near Columbus, Indiana. Unfortunately it was not a really good test as the humidity was relatively low for those few days. However it did pull water out of the air.. I don’t know how fast the bag will fill up in really high humidity conditions..
