Egg carrier for extra large eggs

I have a older egg carrier for camping (similar to the one linked), but it is not sized for the size of eggs we buy (extra large) and usually ends up breaking an egg or two when you close it.  Has anyone found an egg carrier that can be used in a cooler that will hold extra large eggs?  Thanks!

We use the container they come in and cut it to length as needed.

Crack them and store them in a container. When I was a kid my best friends parents would take me along on an annual camping trip several hundred miles form home. To get around the broken eggs, his mom would crack them and store them in a container. Come time to make eggs in the morning, it was simple to dump in the number you wanted. No broken yokes, no mess..

@PNWtabber I’ve got the same container x2 for longer trips. I put a cotton dishcloth over the eggs before I close the lid. So far no broken eggs in five summers!

Have you actually tried this product?  Reviews on this item on Amazon indicate it will not even hold "large" eggs without cracking them.

I saw that one last night!  Reviews say it will hold even Jumbo eggs, some mixed responses about it keeping water out in the cooler, though.  I might just go for it -- would prefer a half dozen size, but beggers/choosers and all that  ;)

A minor issue, but one many of us face.  We've tried the molded plastic egg container (and the ones the eggs come in) and always have broken eggs IF we carry them in the trailer.  So, we now do what Dutch061 said...crack them into a tupperware container and transport them as a liquid, or carry them uncracked in a cooler in the TV.

If you are buying the eggs, just cut to carton the size you need. If you cut two cartons, you could have two 6 egg carriers, a 4 egg and an 8. If these are your own eggs, I'd get two cartons from the feed store....
