One night in a moment of frustration over the rear AC duct that blows at the side of my head, I removed the register and stuffed a towel in it. Turns out this works for me temperature wise. So my question is, are there any unintended negative consequences of blocking off this duct? I see three approaches. 1)something more elegant than the towel that’s in it now; 2)block it at the manifold on the CoolCat; and 3)remove the duct from the manifold and let the cold air flood the compartment under the dinette seat where the CoolCat lives.

I actually don't find its location an issue as long as the register is pointing upward. I'd rather have it there than up high. I find that when it's really hot I like to just point it straight at me to get cool quicker.
