Stayed at the Williamsburg Christian Retreat Center this weekend.  Best deal in the summer in Williamsburg, they have a campground that is open to anyone, small, one loop of about twenty sites, all full hook-up, all wooded, for $35 a night, which is really cheap there.  Nice facilities, with a big pool, ball fields, play grounds, hiking trails, and I think disk golf somewhere, very friendly staff, not too far from the Williamsburg tourist attractions.

The setting is not amazing, but below is a thing of real beauty for any T@B owner:

Yup, the hook-ups all lined up perfectly.

Is it wrong to be in love with a T@B?!!  This is the nearest "teardrop" I've owned and it's my 3rd, Nathan. From a 4-wide in 2012 to a 5x10 Silver Shadow in 2013 to a T@B in 2015. The inside bathroom is the greatest, love the twin bed at the rear, still rearranging. I've been camping since last Wed and will go home on Aug 2nd after Tearstock. See you there!

Mine too, but my B-day is at the of January and we live in Pittsburgh so not going to happen anytime soon.  Will have to wait until we retire and I can make sure we are in warmer weather during my B-day.  I assume it will be worth the wait.

Thanks folks! It was relaxing and peaceful watching the eagles soaring at eye level in front of us. The site is #144 but all the sites along the bluff are pretty nice.

Just checked the map. Down near Prairie Du Chien. I think we can all count on site #144 to be booked up by T@bs in the future!

JacobyO, it is a great area but I have not camped there since we got the t@b.  Looks like we need to mend our ways!  I am also a big fan of Perrot SP a ways up the river.

Keep in mind T@bbers, that there are no hookups on that part of the campground. We have the Zamp Solar panels so we were all good. The hammock is a must. I picked it up thinking it would come in handy on occasion and it has become one of our favorite accessories. I recommend the ENO Hammock with the Straps because it makes setup a breeze and is very sturdy. We were next to a couple that had a different brand and the string to hook it to trees wasn't as sturdy causing it to sag a LOT with weight in it. The straps have multiple connect points that all you do is wrap it around a tree and choose the connect loop that fits best.

Hammocks - Did you know that hammocks and hammock tents are banned in some parks? I didn't but ran into this rule at Theodore National in ND - Don't want you damaging tree trunks.

Very beautiful! Love those birch trees. We are up in Show Low all week and though it has rained, we are snug as a bug. I'm impressed that you're boondocking.  I saw a T@g over by the tent sites. The guy told me all about his Renogy solar panels.

Hi JacobyO - beautiful photo.  thanks for sharing.  considering buying solar panels also.  will the solar panels provide enough power to run ac, refrig, hot water?

Playc, I run the fridge off propane as that is a better source for that. The draw from the fridge is a lot for the battery. I don't think I would run the AC on solar either. I was running hot water/water pump and the ceiling fan as well as some of the lights with no problem. Kept the battery charged during the day enough to charge our 2 phones over night and keep the fan running as well. It is just like having a trickle charger running on the battery.
