New Isabella Installation on older 2007 TAB

Hi all
Today i recieved a sunshade and i hope now it fits my older version, the rail;ing system comes flush to the molding so i am wondering it i should open the channel at one end.....??
Any suggestions?

Yes, you need to widen the opening in the rail about double the existing width for about 3 in length at one end - usually the rear. Be careful not to nick the aluminum in the process as it will cause drag or damage to the bolt rope on the canopy. Some hardwood strips (paint stir sticks) and a small pry bar with care and patience will get the job done.
