Our New Spacecraft!

Hi everyone - I have been absorbing content from this forum for a while now, but since receiving our Tab 400, I thought it was time to make a proper introduction. 

We are Ashley and Trevor from Ontario Canada. We officially joined the nuCamp family in August of this year after placing our order for our Tab 400 in January. We squeezed in a few trips to a few local Provincial Parks before the cold weather hit and it's safe to say, we are so in love with our first ever travel trailer! 



We named our Tab Voyager 1 after the spacecraft that was launched in 1977. As astrophotographers, our camping adventures include choosing dark-sky locations (away from city light pollution) to take photos of nebulae/galaxies. Our camper will give us the opportunity to travel longer distances and experience darker skies. 


This forum has been a great resource as we navigate our way through the new travel trailer owner experience, so thank you to all the contributors! And if you have any recommendations for remote camping locations in the US or Canada, we'd love to hear them in the comments :) Safe travels and clear skies.

    This is a long ways from Ontario, but if you get to the Pacific Northwest the tip of the Olympic Peninsula is spectacular and dark. There are campgrounds in the Olympic National Park (Mora) and on the Quileute reservation at La Push.

    Love the name! I wanted to name our T@B "Camp Dragon-1" but the wife vetoed it.

    A nebula picture taken  through your 400 skylight with a bit of the skylight frame in sight could become the most sought- after T@B picture ever!

    Welcome to the forum!!!!   Interesting interstellar conversation too and brought a smile to my face recalling a memory from a few years back.  I was driving home in late summer, pulled into a gas station off the interstate and had a young man stop in awe as he looked over our T@B 400 with a confused and dazed look on his face.  He remarked, “Wow!!!  That thing is really cool! What is it a time machine???”   🤣😂🤣

    Welcome and congrats!
    If you're from Ontario, I heard that Bon Echo PP offered one of the darkest skies in Ontario but you may already know this and other good spots I suspect.

    Very nice! Is that the Sky-Watcher 2i mount?

    I do visual only, 16" homemade Dob or 102 apo.

    @NateColo Yes, it was taken using the Star Adventurer 2i and the TPO180. Nice and portable.
