Best place to order exterior lettering or decorations

Looking primarily for text, but I would like some options like different font sizes in the same design.

If that is not available, I could also create a design on my own and turn into a PDF or JPG for printing and cutting.

Which company is good to work with?

Is vinyl stickers the way to go or is there some better option?

    I used a local sign shop (Fast Signs) that specializes in vinyl wraps.  I was able to select from a variety of fonts, colors and sizes. They sent me a mockup for approval before printing.  Installation was easy - like hanging wallpaper without the mess.  Make sure you have a really clean surface first.

    @newcamp I bought lettering from RapidVinyl on Etsy. It came out perfect and they had a large selection of colors and fonts at a great price. For reference the height of the lettering I purchased is 5”. It was pretty easy to apply too. Holding up well but it has been on only 4 or 5 weeks.

    We just installed this vinyl decal the other day and got it from StickerChef. 



    Here is the vinyl lettering we used.  It has been on for just over 2 years and still looks new.  I have to check with the boss to see where we got it since it currently is slipping my mind.  Like many things these days!

    @Sprocket on RapidVinyl’s preview site it was Font #25. I don’t see a name just a number. Here is the preview site: https://preview.rapidvinyl.com/651/ . I tried to get it to match the font of the movie poster for which our ship is named…

    The only negative with this font was it had thin lines, so I did have to go real slow when applying it. But the backing came off easy which helped.

    The color was Dark Red so if you or anyone has the new red trim - you can see it matches the trim color perfectly!

    Easy to work with. She was willing to tweak colors, fonts, and wording (went back and forth a couple of times on Latin vs English, and she made several revisions to get proportions right). 



    Three years in, it still looks new. Would absolutely buy again.

    I see by your post that you ordered the letters.  Is there a reason I should order just letters vs a word printed on rectangular transparent vinyl?

    Transparent vinyl doesn't stay transparent. Cut vinyl looks a lot better in the long run than stickers.

    Got our vinyl name on the tab today!  We bought it from posterburner.com  They will print from an image you supply. Fantastic customer service. We didn’t order the cutout version.  So I contacted them, and even though it was a few days later, they switched our order for us. They responded very quickly to questions.

    We used Finishing Touch at https://finishingtouchvinylart.com/. Carson was great to work with, and we ended up with a unique custom design stylizing Vermont in sugar season. I applied the mountains first and the placed the trees and cows individually. Very reasonable.
