For anyone purchasing the non-hub version, the 100 ah Dr. Prepare battery fits inside a NOCO Group 27 box.

Are there non-conducting caps you can put on the exposed terminal mounts?Utah-based

Prior to putting the battery in the NOCO box, I had planned on using the following. You'll have to slice open the tubing if your wiring has connectors on both ends. You can then close the tubing with a zip-tie.

Old thread, but I thought I'd throw this here. I recently bought a 200W solar suitcase to speed up charging from the 100W I've been using. I was concerned that the 200W would be too much for the controller on Hub of the Dr Prepare. An email to them confirmed that it should be fine.
Hello,
Thank you for contacting Dr. Prepare customer service. The hub will not be damaged as long as the open circuit voltage remains within 25V. The input current will be limited to 4.2A.
Thank you in advance for your patience.
Warm regards,
Anna

The specs for the 200W Vevor panel are:
open-circuit voltage = 22.5
operating voltage = 18V
working current = 10.55A
So, if I'm reading the reply correctly, using the 200W panel will not harm the controller. It just won't take full advantage of the working current. I believe our onboard Victron solar controller works the same way. Regardless, in poor solar conditions it should still outperform the 100W panel. ???

Have you tried a different battery in your Wrangler? Our '23 Santa Fe Hybrid had no problem running our 100 qt. Massimo (made by Alpicool) fridge/freezer from the 12v socket. I've also used it in a 4runner rental and Equinox rental with no problem.
What is the benefit of this Dr. Prepare vs. a Jackery knockoff? We bought an Oukitel CN505 on Amazon for $399 in 2021 and it powers our 100 qt. Massimo just fine. Can be charged while it powers the fridge and has low temp cutoff. Also can be charged with solar without needing a CC. Only downfall is its low temp cutoff seems to be too high. I think it's 32 degrees Fahrenheit.
NEVERMIND: Looks like the Dr. Prepare puts out a ton of amps compared to a normal power station.

@AnOldUR, I'm just about done installing a second Victron 75/15 controller for our 200W suitcase since the Dr. Prepare module is so limited on amp capacity. I may decide to sell the Dr. Prepare and instead go with a 230AH Li Time battery. The Powermax module really isn't accessible or useful in the passenger side bay.Utah-based

@bjn2 My LiFePO4 journey has be a bit haphazard. The Dr. Prepare mostly rides in the back of my Wrangler and is dedicated to a small chest fridge/freezer. At the time I had a pair of AGM batteries in my T@B and put a Victron 75/15 in the tub to assist in charging them. I was happy enough with the Dr. Prepare battery that I purchased two of the non-hub versions to replace the AGM's. If I had it to do over, your 230Ah Li Time would probably win out for the trailer. The price, quality and choices of the newer LiFePO4's is hard to keep up with.

@AnOldUR, I couldn't agree more. The available options have gotten better and much less expensive at an amazing rate.Utah-based
