Hardware for 2006 T@B awning

Member Posts: 11
Hi- I recently purchased a used 2006 T@B. It came with an awning but none of
the hardware or poles. I saw several posts about how to order new poles, but I don’t know exactly what I need. Does anyone have a list of the hardware pieces that I need?

Or would it be better to order a new awning? 😳
Does anyone know if a new awning will fit my 2006 ?
Thanks!

Welcome to the Forums! If you can be specific on which awning, that would really help,

It is called Patio Awning

This can get confusing because there are a couple of different designs. The "patio awning" looks a lot like the "Canopy" shown in this thread. There is also a Thermarest Archwing shown. The other thread is an example of the highly sought after Thermarest Tent. There are resources for rebuilding fiberglass poles and aluminum poles.

We are thinking of the Patio Awning...2024 Hyundai Santa Cruz and 2018 T@B 320S

If that picture is from the original information provided with this T@B, that is the Isabella copy made for and often sold with Dutchman built T@Bs. They came in silver/gray or the flower print.
I have the flower power version pictured in the "For Sale" section

It uses the very same pole set. - 3/4 inch galvanized steel tubes forming a front asymmetrical hoop and five adjustable stretcher poles.
They have a reputation of being a very robust and durable awning.

Yes. I have the silver and white awning. However my TAB is not the clam shell. Are you still selling the flower awning? Are there other parts that join the poles? What is the zipper used for?
-
Now that I read the instructions, I'm wondering/hoping I can order the black protectors and C-clips with the poles.I also understand what the zipper is used for.I guess I may have to measure my canopy today.Thank you for all your help so far.Any further insight is welcome!

@Rubyred should you run out of options replacing the poles inside the awning, one last place to try is a kite shop. Not talking Hobby Lobby and the like, but an actual kite shop. When people build (sew) original kite designs they take the cloth part (sail) to a kite shop and those people specialize in building the frame. You have the sail, and all you need is a frame. That just might work. I have done the same for my XL visor for my 2017 320 S t@b. The kite shop replaced the fractured rods inside my visor and all has been great since.2017 t@b sofitel(Dr@gonsFly)TV 2015 Silverado 2500hd(Behemoth). Wyandotte, Michigan.

The steel frame for the original awning is twice the diameter of the Visor XL fiberglass pole and not at all flexible. Each section of the front hoop has a specific shape and position in the assembly. The frame is very similar to the AllPro awning. A little adaptation might make parts from them work. The AllPro has only three stretcher poles where the original is designed for five.
There were two slightly different stretcher designs used with the DM awnings. One had a rubber foot that pushed against the trailer side and simple straps on the awning determined their position. The other (shown in the instructions) has a turn buckle fastener on the awning that holds the trailer end of the stretcher in place.
The original awning fit both the CS and standard T@Bs.
