Axle question

We are possibly interested in upgrading from our T@b 320 Outback (2017) to a used T@b 400. We went and looked at a new T@b 400 today at a local dealer. Husband thinks the axle is not as “heavy duty” as the axle on our older T@b. Does anyone know if the axle in the T@b 400 is less “beefy” than the older T@bs?

The Outbacks have different axles with higher lift. These are torsion axles and the Outbacks are set at a different angle. Maybe that's what he's referring to. Unaware of any other differences, other than maybe higher load rating for the 400 axles.

They are all Dexter axles. The Outback probably sits higher due to tires. Check the tires on the t@b 400 - they come with some Chinese imported off road looking tire that while they look great, if you have a problem on the road you are out of luck finding a replacement. Only source we could find was ordering one through nuCamp, so we went with Goodyear Endurance, which are a size smaller.
