T@B Clearcoat Peeling

My 2017 T@B 320 front roof clear coat appears to be peeling off. Has anyone had this issue and how did you get it resolved? I am hoping that some clear coat spray will help protect it. I cannot afford a new roof, which is what Nucamp is recommending.

This has come up a few times in the past--you might be able to pull up the old discussions with a search. IIRC having it professionally redone by a body shop was floated as an option--but that's probably also expensive.A couple years ago I accidentally stripped a bit of my clearcoat with overly-enthusiastic pressure washing, and "repaired" it with some rattle can clearcoat. It's not quite perfect, but it hasn't diminished my camping experience in any way. However, your damage is more extensive, and it looks like you have some areas on the edges that are oxidizing prior to peeling. Those would probably need to be cleaned up/stripped prior to top-coating.Good luck, and please let us know what you eventually decide upon.2015 T@B Max S (320)

Still mulling it over, thanks!

Maybe a vinyl wrap? Just the roof could be done in a silver similar to original or an opportunity for an update.

What @rfuss928 said. It won’t necessarily be cheap but it will keep it from getting worse and you can choose literally any color/finish you want. The bigger question is how it got this bad. Does it sit out in the sun? Our 2021 does and I need to buff the entire roof to regain some shine where it’s oxidizing. A good ceramic wax works but doesn’t last forever.2021 400 BD

Is that hail damage?2019 Custom T@B 320 U Boondock Lite-ish

Yes, there is some hail damage in the front. I had it loosely covered during the Colorado summer with screen type tarps which definitely cooled it off. The only thing I can think of is the combination of hail and the cover rubbing caused it, but I have had this trailer for 8 years and never had a problem before. I did talk to a wrap company, but it didn't seem like a long term solution. Have been talking to body shops, but having trouble finding someone who wants to take it on. A little frustrating, painting the front maybe my next option in the springtime. Has anyone painted their T@B's before?

I have a simliar problem along with some decal ghosting when I removed them in both the front and back of the camper. I'm going to try and wrap that area with close match of the silver color that is on there as soon as it warms up a little more. Painting it seems like would be pretty expensive.2018 TAB 320S
