Looked behind the refrigerator in our new 2025 Tab 360 - saw no fan - see picture - should there be a fan?

Is it an Isotherm refrigerator? Is there a vent above the door or in the countertop?

Just purchased a 2025 T@B 360.  My understanding from dealer is that new refrigerator doesn't need a fan.   Just as a sidenote...my refrigeration unit came with a fan installed and it kept tripping a circuit protector.  My dealer investigated with NuCamp and refrigerator manufactuer and found that this new model of refrigerator doesn't use a fan. After taking the fan out the refrigerator has run flawlessly so far.

My 360 doesn't have a fan, either.  I'm working on adding one myself.  I've attached photos of the space behind the refrigerator and a close up of the refrigerator control panel.  I can't figure out where the green and white wires are that go in the + and F terminals behind the frig - per the Service Bulletin issued to correct the mis-wiring problem.  I'm beginning to think I should just buy a fan and have it installed so I can turn it on and off - not through the refrigerator.  I certainly don't want the fan to trip a circuit protector.

    Hi @LauraC,

I’m away from our 360 for about a week, but I have the fan and can look at the wiring and snap pictures when I get back to it early next week if that is helpful.  Most small fans pull such little current I don’t think it will blow a fuse (unless not wired correctly)

There was a posting on the Facebook 360 page  of an owner who installed a fan with a separate switch.  Have you seen it? There was some photos and or maybe you can contact them.

Yoshi_TAB - thank you!  I looked for the Facebook post by the owner who installed a fan and could not find it.  The more I think about it I'm inclined to install a shelf behind the refrigerator and small fan with on/off switch.  Simpler is better.  The wiring behind my camper looks completely different than the wiring on the service bulletin with the fan.

Ok, now I'm a little confused. It seems there was a service bulletin to correct some of the CS models where the internal fan was always on, regardless of compressor. But are you now discussing adding an external fan to move air from behind the refrigerator? Have people found this to be a necessary upgrade? Mine seems fine as is, and runs quiet, we usually have to set it on level 2 or 3 or it can get too cold. Maybe needed for very hot weather? Thx!

They rewired the extra fan behind the fridge in our 360CS to only come on when the fridge compressor is running. Our dealer also installed a quieter fan version. Overall made the camper usable.

It was impossible before that with the crazy loud fan running all the time any time power was applied to the camper in any fashion.

Ah thanks. That does sound annoying. It must be a different setup in terms of ventilation. There's no extra fan in the std 360 with the isotherm 1400 fridge. Glad you got it fixed!

    Hi @LauraC

I was able to get some photos.

The fan (just a big computer fan) has two wires.  The black one goes to a white wire which connects to the F position on the circuit board and the red wire from the fan   goes to the green wire which connects to the + on the circuit board.

Below you can see the condensor coil which goes the entire height of the fridge.  When the compressor runs, those coils get hot as they should as they are removing heat from the compressed refrigerate.  Having a fan certainly will help push the heat up and out the vent at the top and into the cabin area and help it run better.    I could feel the air get very warm, being pushed out by the fan when I started the fridge up.  Any good handyman or person can install.  Does not need to be a RV place.

I tried to look down the opening but could not get far enough in to see down....I need to bike more to squeeze in :)

I have a 360CS and had a fan that always ran.  I spoke with NuCamp and they were not sure (back in April 2025) how they were going to deal with it.  Eventually, the dealer said they were going to set it up so when the compressor is on, the fan comes on.

Early TAB 360 builds (2025) did not have a fan and did not require a fan. The prototype I had did not have a fan and it worked as expected.

Isotherm made a change to the fridge and suggested to nuCamp that a fan be added and wired to the fridge, directly.

If your fridge is functioning as expected, no fan is needed.

There were a few fridges in the transition period that might have been missed and your dealer should be able to tell you if your fridge was impacted. They can install a fan for you if it is required.

    2026 models include the fan.
