Trying this again, my post was closed for some reason. When I turn on the pump, water leaks from hot water pipe under seat, out of the white 0 ring at the top. Can't figure it out.
Tab 320, 2021. Just got back from boondocking and suctioned water from jug into camper. I suctioned using the left side water suction, had knobs on tank fill, everything went fine. Switched knobs to dry camp, turned on pump and water is coming out of the top t-pipes under seat from the left side valve. Also from faucets. Water leak? Doing something wrong?
That is the mixing valve for the plumbing. Which exact spot is it leaking from? From the "red" pipe connector where it connects to the mixing valve?
These are "John Guest" push fittings. You push them in slightly, and when you let go, they release from the side of the valve. It might be that your push fitting has worked loose a little bit.
This thread has a discussion of a failed valve, and it shows how the fittings come out and what they look like. It may be that just "resetting" the connector properly will stop the leak.
If you can, look closely at the inside of the brass pipe coming out of the valve. There is a small screen in the valves that can become clogged, so see if you can get a look inside.
thanks for info everybody. I did try pushing in the John Guest fitting (thanks for the name) but it came loose again. Next step is to try to take it apart from the brass fitting and putting it back together again. Check inside brass as well. My issue is a leak at that spot not a mixing problem (although now I know where that is) Fingers crossed that will work! Try to get around to it in the next few days. Will let you all know.
@Dana, I don't see where your original post was closed. I'm not sure what happened, but I've merged the two discussions here in order to keep all related comments on the topic together.
Thanks, ScottG. Problem fixed! I pulled the hot water pipe from the John Guest push fitting (just like in the picture from Disenchanted). Couldn't get the fitting out of brass pipe so I didn't get to see or clean the screen in there, but jiggled it around and put back together. Voila! Success.
Since we're on the hot water topic, could I get clarification on the yellow safety valve/drain. My Alde book says to "renew the air cushion in the heating system after 10 days of use. This can be done by opening the safetydrain valve on the heating system for a few seconds. " Am I supposed to do that with pump on or off? Also, it says "to maintain the air cushion, the hot water tank should be emptied after 10 days of use to help ensure that a new air cushion is formed in the heating system." I drain all water (fresh, hot, low point valves and grey) after every camping trip, which is rarely more than 4-5 days. Does that "renew" the air cushion?
The "air cushion" used to be described as "maintain the air cushion after 10 continuous days of use of the fresh water tank and the pump". This was to help prevent any "air hammer" effect from the pump. On city water, there was never a discussion of the "air cushion". But, as the "telephone game" of explaining the air cushion went through the years, it has that advice about the air cushion. Alde is terrible at writing manuals, and they probably have forgotten, too!
If you do it: have the pump off, and if the trailer plumbing is "under pressure" or the water in the plumbing is hot, just be aware that the pressurized water will exit the trailer exactly below the Yellow Valve through the drain spout. This could have a little force behind it, so as long as you aren't directly under the spout under the trailer you will be ok. It is easy to simply turn the pump off, run a faucet a bit, and relieve some of the pressure on the plumbing.
You only need to open the valve for a couple of seconds. Yes, if you drain all your water, the "air cushion" should reform when you next fill the tanks.

Good luck
