It is time to revive the PNW F@ll J@m

This event will take place September 24th thru the 27th, 2026 in the forest loop at Fort Worden State Park in Port Townsend, WA.  If you have been there you know what a great state park this is.  Come hang out with fellow T@bbers, T@ggers, and T@D@ers.  Visit with old friends and make new ones.  This is a casual gathering with coffee in the morning, a potluck style dinner, and a happy hour.  Reservations for this date will open on the 17th of December.

If you are interested in joining us, follow these simple steps:
1)  Make reservations on the WA State Parks website.
                https://washington.goingtocamp.com/
2) Add your name to this list so we know who is coming
3) Spread the word to your T@b friends!

As we have neared reservation day, we have become aware that very few sites are available for the weekend we had planned to gather.  In order to allow more people to attend, we have moved the event back a week to Sept 24-27.  Sorry if this causes any inconvenience to people, but it didn't make sense for only 7 sites to be available for that Friday thru Sunday.

Which loop do people favor?  The Beach or the Upper Forest?  Reservations seem to be wide open :)

F@LL J@M is based in the upper (Forest) campground not the beach.
If you try to reserve a spot today, 22nd, a notice tells you reservations open on the 24th

Jefferson County Fair Grounds is an okay backup location is SP is full.

Upper Forest Loop is the preference.  I just snagged site 54 as we will go over a few days early... and I find making the reservations to go in on Wednesday or Thursday increases availability... and driving from Spokane we want to spend some time there.  As of right now, there are tons of sites available!!!

Cancelled my forest CG spot. Check WA State Parks if you aren't on the alert list.

Is there some kind of formal agenda? Like Potlucks? Will be camping elsewhere on Olympic peninsular for 10 days prior to F@ll JAM, so need to get organized…

Alast that is what is changing without someone willing/able to "Manage" the event.

@Homebodyatheart & @2Cougs invested a lot of spare time energy into setting a schedule with potluck, cocktail hours, TAB tours, Park rentals, give-aways, etc. With the shift to a No Coordinator let's just get together event those planned group events won't be scheduled - - might occur - - but not planned.

I've attended a few (not TAB) events like the New Format and found them less enjoyable. In this age of we don't really even know our neighbors a scheduled event (potluck, cocktails) is needed to get folks involved IMHO. What @Homebodyatheart & @2Cougs did for the historical East-Meets-West was very special.

We would like to follow the same format as East Meets West. I.e.

    1. coffee provided the mornings of Thursday thru Saturday, possibly Sunday as well.

    2. Gathering for dessert potluck on Thursday evening.

    3. Dinner potluck on Friday evening.

    4. Happy Horror ( bring any left over shareable) Saturday evening.

Each gathering (other than coffee) bring your own drink. For coffee bring you own mug.

Our own Mr. 2-Cougs will be making soveniers, please put your info on the attached spreadsheet so he can plan accordingly.

We are so looking forward to getting F@ll J@m 2.0 off to a great start.

@NewTabers said: . . . We would like to follow the same format as East Meets West. . . .

    Confused Here.
Does that mean @NewTabers has taken on the role/task of
communicating-coordinating-Dealing with WA State Parks (as needed)
    for the next event?

    I don't recall seeing any formal = - = We Will Take Over Notice = - = did I just miss it?

@MuttonChops - To my knowledge, no one has taken over East Meets West (Lincoln Rock).

@NewTabers has been working to revive F@llJ@m.

    @2Cougs thanks.

Just realized I was writing about East-meets-West on the Fall Jam thread.
Maybe I just need a good Spokane TABers Breakfast to clear my head 😉
