Why would another trailer have the same key ?

It's kind of like the keys for Yakima racks, boxes, etc. There is a finite number of key patterns. If you know the number of your lost Yakima key you can just ask any dealer for a replacement or buy it online.

Are you are comfortable that others may have the same key as your RV? I’m not.
Padlocks, door locks, bicycle locks etc in my opinion all have I believe exclusive keys: or at least there are 1000’s of variations.
So, how many different keys might there be? Or, what is the repeat factor?
Gosh, this is a rabbit hole…

Slightly off-topic, but this thread makes me wonder about my key. I replaced the new style door lock on our 2020 T@B with an aftermarket standard type like the ones found on older nuCamp's. It's probably a safe bet that the RVLock GripLite RV Door Lock has the same limited number of keys in circulation.

... but I won't lose any sleep over it.

There are now several different "keys" for the Tabs, which depends entirely on the year of the trailer.  On the discussion of "are all RV locks keyed the same", for the years "roughly" from 2014 until 2021 or so, all the trailers came from the factory with a standard lock that...practically everyone in the RV industry used.  They mostly used a key called "CH751".
All the doors from these years are "flat" doors.  The issue of the "same key across the campground" brought up the nicer, more secure, RVLock, which had keypads and remotes as features.  A lot of owners installed these locks, it was a simple process.  There was a huge thread about this in 2017 that shows the locks, installs, etc.

After 2020, the NuCamp started installing a molded plastic door.  The door lock is significantly different, more secure, and comes with "unique" keys.  The locks themselves are considerably different compared to the "flat" doors.  None of the "RVLock" type locks will fit this door.
