Lagun Table Mount by Shower

2017, 320S...I thought somewhere along the line I saw a post about installing a lagun mount on the left front corner of the shower stall. I searched the forum extensively but couldn't find anything. Has anyone done this? There's no access to the back of the wall to place a brace or to secure nut and bolt but has someone found a way to do it successfully?

There's a solid piece of wood in that wall. Wood screws rather than through bolts, would probably hold well. We had good results mounting it to the bench seat panel close to the bath wall.

I have not done it but have considered it. I found this Lagun Sliver Mount and thought it would fit the space on the left edge of the door nicely. Some good double face tape and screws may be adequate on the door frame. click to enlarge

I ordered another mount from the Lagun company and put it on the side of the seat by the door. This is the best mod I've done so far (as in favorite). I can leave the table mounted and use it for counter space, storage space or for it's intended purpose - as a table. I like that I no longer have to futz with it being in the way when getting in and out of bed (in my 320) or removing and replacing it each day. Not exactly where you were thinking about, but perhaps a workable alternative if needed. I did have to trim down the wood backing board they send with the mount and it is not "as sturdy" as the original location, but even with that I'll still keep it in the modified location. Well worth it, IMHO.

There are many posts about this. And, yes, the search "engine" here is lacking considerably!

I moved mine in my 2017 to the same spot. That spot, as mentioned, is pretty solid. My woodworker friend decided to beef it up even more with a block of plywood directly behind the wall.

The issue on the side of the wall where the mount will be are the bed rails. You need to have the mount spaced out far enough to clear the bed rails. We used another piece of plywood to make sure the mount and table "post" cleared the rail.

Here is one fairly long Forum thread about installing the Lagun mount back when these tables became the hot new accessory, around 2015. Lots of basic info here. About page 4 is where owners started to share where they moved the mount.

@pthomas74, can you post a picture of your table mount? I probably saw it in the past, but don't recall. When I moved mine, I considered the location on the same wall as the bath door, but I don't remember why I decided against it.

@AnOldUR Here are the photos of the Lagun mount on the driver's side just behind the shower on my 2017 320. To clear the bed rails, there are two 1/2 inch rectangles of some nice plywood, with the plastic Lagun spacer behind the mount. The wide angle of the phone camera exaggerates how far out the mount is from the wall.

This is the block of plywood behind the wall for a bit of extra support.

Very similar to mine. The difference being that I moved the propane gas detector so that the table mount could be placed closer to the bath. With our side-to-side sleeping arrangement, we didn't have to compensating for the bed rails.

Ahh, thanks to both of you. Pics helped a great deal. I had previously put an Anderson Powerpole 30 amp outlet between the co2 detector and electric outlet so I was trying to avoid moving it. That’s why I asked about the shower door wall. I’ll just move the Anderson and put the Lagun mount in its place. Thanks again!
