New Water Pump for a 2020 320 T@B

I switched out our water pump a couple years ago hoping for less noise and better pressure. It did help, but still not great. A discussion on Facebook got me looking again. After some searching I came up with a SEAFLO 33 Series pump and accumulator system. Looks interesting. Has anyone tried this pump or combination pump/accumulator?

    Howdy from Arizona! We replaced our pump in 2024 with the same brand,Seaflo Series 42 without an accumulator. A bit quieter than the Shurflo. But, since it lives under the bed, the last guy up in the am knows the water is pumping. My husband found a site that evaluated many of these. This brand was the most quiet (series 42). Thanks for your post!

    Adding an 'accumulator tank' in a 320 might be a finding easy to access space pain.

    I once installed one on a recreational boat and was not impressed. Yes, it does reduce to pulsing for short duration water use . . . short duration as pressure tank is very small.

    On the boat it was a maintenance headache due to extra fitting that liked to leak and (for me) more confusion when winterizing.

    @mbeckerpasha the reason I went with the Seaflo Series 33 was because it has a shut-off pressure of 45 psi compared to 55 psi for the Series 42. The plumbing in our T@B's are rated for 50 psi, but I believe there's and adjustment that you can make to the Series 42 to lower the pressure.

    Following up on this topic, I installed the new system this morning. Beside the contortions involved, it was an easy project. It came with the pump and accumulator attached to a mounting plate, but the plate was too large to fit in the space so I removed them. I did keep them connected together by the short braided flexible hose. The pressure in the accumulator came set to about 10psi, so I charged it up to 33psi to conform to the 2psi below cut-in pressure recommended.

    No leaks and it appears to be working properly. The pump is much quieter. When first opening a facet the pressure is good, but once the water is out of the accumulator it does pulse and makes some noise, but not nearly as bad as with the Shurflo pumps. I'd like to have more time testing, but we're heading out on a 6-8 week trip in about a week and a half. Fingers crossed.

    For reference, the factory pump was a SHURFLO 4008-101-A65 that was replaced by a 4028-100-E54 and now a SEAFLO 33
